Dr. Chien has 35 years biopharmaceutical industry experience and is the founder of YinTech Consulting. Previously Chien served as a Senior Director of Research at Novartis Corporation responsible for R&D related functions that included technology evaluation and development of nucleic acid based assay for blood testing in the US. Prior to his work with Novartis, Dr. Chien was a Senior Director of Research and Development at Chiron Corporation where he was responsible for R&D related functions that included research and product development for diagnostics, blood testing, vaccine development and protein drug development etc. His major accomplishments included projects on HCV discovery, product development for HCV, HBV, HIV, WNV, Prion disease, and liver cancer etc.
